The recent dust and loud noise from the construction area behind Bretton Woods has not gone unnoticed. The City of Frisco Engineering Department has been helpful in identifying the construction. This area is a recycling concrete plant and holds an industrial permit with the State of Texas. The city has no jurisdiction for compliance although they can enforce the noise ordinance hours of operation 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. The city has requested homeowners to call the non-emergency line to report. 972-292-6010. These complaints need to be called in as they are occurring, this will allow the police to go to the location and record the noise levels and issue fines.

The concrete equipment to crush brick, stone, concrete was operating without water allowing the dust particles to spread. They have corrected this problem and the abundance of dust in the community should decrease. If not, we can take this to the state TECQ to investigate. (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality)
